Kim Emmons Knor is traveling all over the country for her “Rush for the Gold,” – working hard to fulfil her dream of getting to 1,000 skydives and earn her U.S. Parachute Association (USPA) Gold Wings. Kim (D221) was on the 1960 Gold Medal US Parachute Team and was inducted inhto the International Skydiving Hall of Fame. Everywhere she goes she gets local press that are amazed that an 84 year old women is still jumping out of airplanes but we know Kim and know she will get her Gold Wings. Kim got her 600th jump at the Skydiving Museum & Hall of Fame Celebration Event in Eloy, AZ in October, 2023.

Thanks to Katie Boyd McVey and Randy Forbes for supplying us with pictures from the 2023 Reunion.

Museum in Granite

If you haven’t attended our Reunions and gatherings at the Museum in Granite before, now is the time to see it and join other Pioneers and Legends of Skydiving.

History of Humanity in Granite.

For those who have been to a Reunion in Felicity, you know it is a GREAT TIME!

  • See the amazing museum in the Yuma desert.
  • Meet Jacques Istel – Parachuting Grandfather of our sport and the Mayor of Felicity, CA.
  • Walk down the Museum of History in Granite – two-inch-thick granite walls inscribed with everything Jacques thinks is worth telling to future generations.
  • Step inside the Pyramid and stand on the disk that is the Official Center of the World.
  • Walk up to the Church on the Hill (Jacques trucked in over 150,000 tons of earth to build the hill).
  • Legends and Pioneers signing logbooks and telling tales (all true) how from humble beginnings our sport evolved.
  • Larry Hill from Skydive Arizona is supplying us with our own private aircraft to jump right into the Museum area.
